This year's CALPHAD conference will take place in the Teaching and Learning Building at the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston campus.
The Teaching and Learning Building is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to support innovative teaching, learning, and collaboration. Located in the heart of the University's Edgbaston campus, it offers contemporary lecture theatres, flexible learning spaces, and excellent amenities, all within easy reach of Birmingham city centre.
Delegates can register for the conference through the online registration system. Accommodation is available nearby at the University of Birmingham's Edgbaston Park Hotel and can be booked as part of the online conference registration process.

Car Parking
The nearest parking facility is the North East Multi-Storey Car Park (postcode B15 2SA) [Click here for the Google Maps link]. Please use Levels 1–5, as the Ground Floor is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. The car park is less than a five-minute walk from the conference venue.
Parking is pay and display for day visitors. Guests staying at Edgbaston Park Hotel can park free of charge on the ground floor. If you are staying at the hotel, please remember to register your vehicle using the iPad at the hotel reception upon arrival.

Lapworth Museum of Geology

geological collections, the museum features outstanding rocks, fossils,

With modern galleries and hands-on displays, it's an engaging experience for visitors of all ages - and admission is completely free.
The museum is located within the Aston Webb A Block building, marked R4 on the campus map.

Winterbourne House & Garden
Beautifully restored to its Edwardian Arts and Crafts splendour, Winterbourne House & Garden is a unique heritage attraction set within seven acres of stunning botanic gardens. The Barber Institute of Fine Arts

University of Birmingham Blue Plaque and Sculpture Trails
The University of Birmingham has been home to many pioneering researchers,
academics, and innovators since its foundation. As you explore the campus, look out for the Blue Plaques, which celebrate the remarkable individuals whose achievements have helped shape the University's history and reputation as a leading research institution.
You can also discover the University's impressive collection of public art by following the Campus Sculpture Trail. Featuring a variety of styles and
subjects, the trail includes the striking Faraday bronze sculpture, commissioned to commemorate the centenary of the University of Birmingham's Royal Charter. The sculpture is located near University Station and is one of many artworks to enjoy across the Edgbaston campus.
